Brentwood Lakes is a gated community on the west side of Palm Bay, built by D.R. Horton under its Express Homes brand across four platted phases, with homes recorded from 2006 to 2021, a fifteen-year span. I could not confirm from a primary source whether that reflects a genuinely phased buildout or a pause during the 2008 housing crash, the HOA itself was formed in 2005, consistent with an early approval, but I am not going to invent a crash-interruption story to fill the gap. Two things worth ruling out on the name: a separate Brentwood Lakes exists in the Greenacres and Lake Worth Beach area of Palm Beach County, built in the 1980s, and a newer Brentwood Lakes is being developed by a different builder in North Naples. Neither connects to this community. What I can confirm is genuine here: four community lakes, two community pools, two playgrounds, and a gated entry, consistent across multiple sources.

Aggregator sites cite roughly $180 to $194 a month, which reads as plausible for a gated, multi-amenity community, but I could not confirm it against the association's own governing documents or budget. Get the real number from the management company or a specific listing's disclosure.
Low private-pool rate, but two real community pools exist
Only a small share of homes here carry their own pool. That is likely because two HOA-run community pools, alongside four lakes and two playgrounds, cover that need for many owners rather than each homeowner installing one.
"Brentwood Lakes" alone is not specific enough to search reliably
Between the Palm Beach County community and the newer North Naples one, a loose search on the name mixes results from three different Florida communities in three different counties. Confirm any listing, review or HOA rule you find actually names Palm Bay before you rely on it.
